    HEAVY RAIN PRODUCING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. THESE DOWNPOURS
    WILL YIELD RAINFALL RATES OF 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR...WITH
    LOCALLY HEAVIER AMOUNTS. FLASH FLOODING COULD QUICKLY RESULT
    GIVEN THE SATURATED SOIL CONDITIONS ACROSS NORTHEAST
    GEORGIA...THE WESTERN UPSTATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA AND THE SOUTHERN
    MOUNTAINS OF NORTH CAROLINA.
    * STREAMS...RIVERS...AND LAKES ARE ALREADY AT ELEVATED LEVELS
    ACROSS THE REGION. ANY THUNDERSTORMS REPEATEDLY AFFECTING THE
    SAME LOCATIONS WILL PRODUCE FLASH FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS
    NEAR THESE TRIBUTARIES OR BODIES OF WATER. MINOR LANDSLIDES
    COULD OCCUR AND EARTHEN DAMS COULD BE PUT AT RISK GIVEN THE
    RECENT RAINFALL. DEEP PONDING OF WATER WILL DEVELOP IN ANY LOW
    LYING AREAS.
