    .THE GROUND REMAINS SATURATED ACROSS THE REGION THIS EVENING.
    CONTINUED MOIST SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST FLOW...ALONG WITH A SERIES OF
    PASSING UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCES...MAY PRODUCE ADDITIONAL HEAVY
    RAIN SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE SOUTHERN APPALACHIANS
    AND NEARBY FOOTHILL SECTIONS OF THE WESTERN CAROLINAS AND
    NORTHEAST GEORGIA THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING HOURS. THESE FEATURES
    WILL COMBINE WITH ELEVATED STREAM AND LAKE LEVELS AROUND THE
    REGION TO GREATLY HEIGHTEN THE RISK OF FLASH FLOODING. FLASH
    FLOODING COULD OCCUR QUICKLY IN ANY LOCATIONS THAT RECEIVE
    MULTIPLE ROUNDS OF RAINFALL THROUGH TONIGHT.

    NORTHEAST GEORGIA...ELBERT...FRANKLIN...HABERSHAM...HART...
    RABUN AND STEPHENS. IN WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA...EASTERN POLK...
    HENDERSON...MACON...POLK MOUNTAINS...SOUTHERN JACKSON AND
    TRANSYLVANIA. IN UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA...ABBEVILLE...
    ANDERSON...GREATER GREENVILLE...GREATER OCONEE...GREATER
    PICKENS...GREENVILLE MOUNTAINS...GREENWOOD...LAURENS...OCONEE
    MOUNTAINS...PICKENS MOUNTAINS AND SPARTANBURG.
    * UNTIL 6 AM EDT FRIDAY.
    * RECENT HEAVY RAINFALL HAS LEFT THE GROUND SATURATED ACROSS MUCH
    OF THE AREA. ADDITIONAL SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS MAY PRODUCE
    LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING HOURS. MANY
    STREAMS... RIVERS... AND LAKES ARE ALREADY AT ELEVATED OR NEAR
    BANKFULL LEVELS. THIS SITUATION HAS CREATED A HEIGHTENED FLASH
    FLOOD THREAT ACROSS THE WATCH AREA.
    * ANY LOCATIONS IMPACTED BY THUNDERSTORMS COULD SEE RAINFALL RATES
    OF 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR. THIS WOULD CAUSE FLASH FLOODING TO
    DEVELOP QUICKLY. THE THREAT WILL EXTEND TO SMALL STREAMS...LOCATIONS
    DOWNSTREAM OF EARTHEN DAMS...AS WELL AS MAIN STEM RIVERS AND
    NEARBY TRIBUTARIES. DEEP PONDING OF WATER COULD ALSO DEVELOP
    QUICKLY IN LOW LYING AREAS AND POOR DRAINAGE LOCATIONS.
