If someone tells one of these welfare abusers they will give them a tattoo or something such as that the correct response is to tell them to give them something useful so they can help their family. To the person talking about EBT card users. I agree with you that we should help people, and I do often, who are having a hard time. What I have a problem with are the abusers of the welfare system, the ones that always think they deserve something for nothing. When I see someone using an EBT card and they have gold grills, tattoos from head to toe, smell like a bottle of cheap wine and cigs. and 5 kids under their arm it makes me sick. These abusers have made poor choices their entire life and the HARD WORKING productive people have to pay their way through life and thats not fair. Life is not fair. The productive people should have luxuries that non-productive people do not have because they WORKED HARD AND EARNED THEM. We should drug test all welfare recipients and if they fail they are out of the system, period. If you are sucking off the system and you have a baby too bad you either give the child up for adoption or you raise the child at your own expense. If your a lfelong welfare sucker you should not vote as well.

This county would not know a good restaurant if it hit them right between the eyes.Amicis and Treasure Thai are the only two restaurants that are worth eating at. Face it people this county is going to the crapper and no high-end establishment would ever come here because of the demographics, next we will get a ox tail and chicken neck restaurant and all the dumb masses will be thrilled to death. Their sign would say EBT cards accepted and welcome.
They need to change the hours at the Covington Post Office, the staff at this facility are awful. They are the slowest i've ever delt with anywhere. These women take there own sweet time to do anything. I saw a lady ask for a piece of tape to close one end of a box so she could pack Christmas gifts and the clerk said she would have to fill it first. The clerk never understood that she needed to tape the bottom of the box so she could fill it. The clerk was rude and disrespecting and showed very little interest in helping this customer. I told her to go to Mansfield and get some real customer service.
Mayor Johnston had a great idea to get real non-profit people involved with this money pit shelter. What is the board trying to hide? If the board really cared about this shelter they would welcome a needed change in management. Just because someone is a nice person does not mean they have business knowledge. This shelters board needs to be replaced from top to bottom, if they cared they would show up for meetings.
If I had to deal with Laquisha and her old man I would quit as well. Thanks for nothing Mr. Mathews, you left the Newton county school system in a mess and showed us how not to run a school system. Please do not hire from within the present Board because they all need to be replaced.
Great, how will little Bobby be an allstar baseball player if he cant dip. Everyone knows dipping makes you run faster, swing faster, and catch a line-drive better. I almost forgot little Bobby has to have a pair of Oakleys to make him better as well.
