He could have done a great job but the Carpenters & Crazy Eddie Johnson made it impossible.

If you do not think than NCSS needs to eliminate their policy

-- GAG -- Staff Conflict of Interest, which is covered by an educator code of ethics and current law.

The current policy states that no BOE employee shall engage in or have a financial interest, directly or indirectly, in any activity that conflicts or raises a reasonable question of conflict with his or her duties and responsibilities. Additionally, it states that administrators and supervisors employed by the BOE shall not directly supervise, evaluate or recommend for continuation of contract or termination of employment family members.

I live in the 1st district, I support Mr. Meadows & plan to vote for him in 2 years. It is good to see Ms. Baker start to take interest in what is good for the students rather than only caring for a few chosen administrators.

We need to get Dennis Carpenter out of capital project planning..

"The replacement Newton High School project will cost approximately a half million dollars more than originally expected due to an oversight.

Dr. Dennis Carpenter, deputy superintendent of operations for the Newton County School System, reported to the Newton County Board of Education last week that his department failed to include the cost of athletic field lighting in the project bid.

"It was our oversight," he told the board during its monthly meeting last week
