It is not rocket science--NCSS is in need of serious help! Anyone can see that yet not enough is being done. Why? What will it take? People are getting fed up! If you don't want your child in the NCSS you can either move to a place with a better school system or choose private school. Thank goodness my child is in a good elementary school right now but when it is time to go to middle school we will have some decisions to make!
Thank you Amp72 for telling it like it is--couldn't have said it better!!
I seriously doubt Mr. Carpenter will be chosen by Mississippi--too bad for us! Given his lack of performance with NCSS, I cannot fathom another school system wanting him. Regardless, I will say another prayer and keep my fingers crossed that the Carpenters are heading west. NCSS cannot take much more-we need some serious leadership with real results. If this doesn't happen soon it may just be too late.
Agree 1000%!! My thought is if I don't want my child to go to public school why in the world should I have to pay school taxes to NCSS?? My tax dollars should go where my child goes--plain and simple. However, we all know that will never happen. I will continue to pay for other's "precious bundles" to be educated regardless if my child attends public or private school.
Thank goodness for Mr. Meadors! He speaks the brutal truth and I love it!! Now if we can get a plan of action to get some people in the NCSS "off the bus". Thank you Mr. Meadors for your voice in supporting what is right for our school system!
Yes-the jailers/nursing staff would give him the proper medicine for his condition. I am also delighted my tax dollars can pay for his lodging, food, and medical care. The lesson here is simple- don't do something to get yourself put in jail!!
I have my fingers crossed!!!
It sounds like someone needs to get their house in order. When I was a teen I knew what the boundaries were with my parents and I knew what would happen if I crossed those boundaries. It is called parenting. To say you are not in control of your teenager is pure laziness or just a pathetic excuse. Yes teenagers will test you but it is a parent's job to draw the line. Sounds like someone needed some good old fashioned military school. But no, instead let him get out of his court ordered punishment--brilliant. This shows there is no consequences. Bottom line-if you can't run your own household then you definitely can't help run the county!
All these negative comments are so sad! To basically say because he made a poor choice he deserved what he got--how insensitive! Some say he shouldn't have been using the wheelchair especially at night etc etc. If that was the only way the man had to get around then what did you expect him to do? It sounds like he had some serious medical problems and probably needed a motorized chair of his own. I am sure he was not out on a joy ride at the time. The man lost his life and people lost a family member and/or friend. Ask yourself this--how would you feel if these comments were written about your family member?
Oh please, please, pretty please Mississippi hire him! It is apparent he wants out--can't handle all the negative feedback eh?? Let him and his wifey become someone's else problem! You know what they say-don't let the door hit you in the ___ on the way out!!!!
