Silver bullet

I would like to know why they are able to still be employed there as well. I mean I don't really think like you said that no other school system would tolerate this kind of thing, it is a shame. Also it looks to me like we either have a super who is scared of DC or just doesn't care how he makes this school system look, we are the laughing stock of georgia and this law suit is making it worse blaming board members and pointing fingers here and there. To be perfectly honest they have pointed in so many directions I think they are confused. Poor Mr Dockery lives in Tennessee and they are trying to make deals with him and he is trying to do the right thing where it matters most and they shut the door in his face. This whole thing has gotten so far out of hand if I were either one of the carpenters I would be embarrassed at my behaviors.

Mrs Lindsey should be embarrassed as well.

A driver shared this with me out of busbarn.  These children do not need to be subjected to 3 and 4 kids per seat as well as changing routes which could lead to children exiting the buses at the wrong stop and endangering their lives. I refuse to understand people not willing to communicate through the proper channels  to keep all parties informed about the children’s bus routes and times for arrival. I realize that this is not a perfect world and there will be mistakes, but I am not willing to chance something happening to my child at the hand of someone else’s laziness. I will await a response from the many names in the contact list, but I do realize some may not read the concern or care to respond due to lack of concern or negligence that has already been displayed.

I want to know what is LaQuanda Carpenter doing today to get her high school out of the lowest graduation rate in the county category of 64%?  What is she doing today to fix that and the 50 plus % failures in Math?  What is her intervention plan today to clean up the arrest records and taser incidents and car break ins and students looting local shops around Hwy 36?  What is she doing today to fix it?  I will tell you what she is doing.  Suing people who call her out.  We pay your salary woman and we WILL call you out.

I find Carpenter despicable.  She knew monies were not accounted for given this and she used the court to hold a hearing dragging people thru her mud.  I am outraged.

Um who is doing the PR in this school system?  This letter opens up more questions than it answers. . Who are the several board members who are telling the superintendent what to do?  And for Carpenter she just lost any claims why is this done during the process of the lawsuit.  There is obvious evidence now that monies were not handled right and that the alcohol/tequila was a she said / he or she said - this system has got to clean it up.

These are the new 2012 graduation rates for Newton County.  I report.  You decide.  And btw you cannot depend anymore on open records.  Some fishy stuff goes on before they go out.  The sunshine laws died in Newton County.   The state reported that Alcovy High School's graduation rate is 64.71, Eastside's is 70.60, Newton's is 66.33.  The only one above the state avg is Eastside.

I find it most fitting and ironic that the Covington News would quote Shakespeare the Bard who apart from the history plays of his 32 plays used almost all fictitious names to illustrate real life inner workings.  He would probably rise up on April 23 his birthday and smack you around.  Eh Falstaff?  Who did Falstaff portray?    Other things we lost in the Covington News - faith, first amendment rights, the right to opinion and four editors in 2 years.  Meanwhile the Citizen has the same one.   I find it most interesting that an editorial that contradicts the previous one was not signed.  In short, it was anonymous and since we really don't know who wrote it I will accuse them, because they were probably in the building at the time, of anonymous editorializing.   Bless their hearts.  They are all wrapped up in denial.

If you people will vote for the candidates in districts 2 and 4 who are not incumbents this will help.  Vote against both incumbents in July and November did you see what a joke Johnson made of our board with the Christian Learning topic?  NCSS is a laughing stock of the state with him as the leader.  We need another educator who has actually taught for years in a classroom who knows what we go through and won't say ADD THREE KIDS TO EVERY ROOM fools rush in.

So sad this parent has to pay because thugs lead and run Alcovy High.  Well well i had to make a decision to put my son in a private school because he refused to go to Alcovy! As a single parent it is hard to pay for school but i did it anyway. I was in doubt about it at first but since the start of the school year i get contacted about once a week from friends of mine wanting information about the private school! Just look at the attendance drop rate since the beginning of the school year, it will confirm everything. Each day i hear more and more negativity about Alcovy and it is sad. As a tax paying citizen it does make me mad that i cannot send my kid to a public school because of lack of leadership! I am proud to say that my son is still an honor roll student and learns more and he loves the school because of the discipline is strict and he actually learns! Dr. Matthews you need to step up and recongnize! So blessed that my son does not attend Alcovy!!!!
