Wow, these are some winners. The only person I feel sorry for is the child who has these people as a mother and "baby daddy" (Oh and society that will have to raise, feed, clothe and educate said child).
Does anyone else notice that half of the crap that happens at the schools is a result of someone leaving an item laying around that they should not have? Teachers should have their belongings locked in a desk drawer or a file cabinet. I work with kids and I keep my purse and phone locked up or on my person at all times. A student who leaves their IPod on a stack of books in the hallway does not know the value of the money that was spent on the IPod.
Who is paying for his travel back and forth? If he has accrued leave and takes it in order to travel, as long as that is in the leave policy NCSS has to pay him for his time. My main concern is the travel and the accomodations while he is in Kansas City. Is the NCSS footing the bill?
Why was the student with the multiple bags and the scale not charged with intent to distribute and detained? That sounds to me like a case could be made that he was obviously involved in the manufacture and distribution of the drug. It would seem to me that if we go after the kids that are dealing it, we could make more head way in keeping it out of the schools more. He/she/it needs to be expelled-if you want an education, you should not be selling drugs. Call me crazy but having a scale is more than just "I use it to unwind"
I just wanted to say "Thank you for your service and dedication" to Lt. Cripps. He did what few others would have done and then to just go home and change his clothes and go back to work? Good job!
HP is keeping the Covington plant open. They are moving the plant that was here before back and consolidating the other three under the one building
My husband works for Hillpheonix. There main office is in Conyers and they have been mulling over having a massive one building center built in that area for the last five years or so. It had nothing to do with the school system, most of the employees already live in the Newton/Rockdale area and I am not sure where the newspaper got there numbers but I cannot see that they would have been adding the number of jobs they were talking about.
So let me get this straight. The man calls police to tell them that he stabbed someone but police cannot locate the victim and they arrest the man who called? How can there be a crime if there is no victim?
What exactly is funny about this? Not a darn thing.
John: At 17 you are an adult for all crimes in the state of Ga, however, you can still be charged in the juvenile court with runaway and unruly (not following your parents rules).
To answer the previous comments, there is a Romeo and Juliet law on the books in the state that reduces what was once a Felony down to a Misdemeanor offense. Why don't you guys check out the Sheriff's Department website and check to see who the sex offenders are and where they live in the County. That is one of the functions on the website and before you ask, no, I am not employed by the NCSO. I am just a smart parent.
