Excuse me - BOC members have to earn respect and support from the people who trusted them to do a better job than the ones they replaced. The titles are not given for no reason. They should have the interest of the people first, and their personal gains last...
Maybe the reason the BOC is "looking into this matter" , is because someone, other than the board (and their highly-paid legal adviser)- did their homework and did not let the matter be pushed under the table. "What say you County Attorney".....I think we could find better prices charged for legal services for the county.
Agree, agree, agree. We pay the highest SCHOOL taxes in the state, but have less educated children. NO more money from me. If I could give less, as a Senior Citizen - I would immediately. Do not fall for this farce.....
NO-NO-NO- Education taxes of the county taxes are at the TOP scale in the state already. Better education or improvement in personnel or educators has not greatly improved since I have been paying these overly high county education taxes for 35 years. The more monies these people receive; the more money they squander. I live on a BUDGET....Why can't they.
If this employment of mother/child is border line or in question, why not put employee in another department. If one thought that this would cause a controversy about family working with/for employer - why push it. I am sure there are other employees of the county that really need jobs.
Well said - I do not live in the city, but I have tried to go through several times with the "filming traffic" I avoid when I can...I think the reasons for the filming here and in GA have something to do with lack of taxes and expenses that are not imposed on the companies coming to this area....
