i have no idea why these transient carpenters tried to take him own - didn't they know Meadors would kick their butts. What evidence is there? I never have heard a word of defamation or seen a sentence of libel anywhere here or elsewhere to warrant the Carpenters' suit. I hope he is not finished with this ilk. The genius was retaining a former Newton DA to kick them into Kansas City - hey LaQuanda where are your records from 2009 to 2012 on money at Alcovy High your email on October 9th said you welcomed that investigation - well let's have it.

RV30015 5 months ago on Counselors available, principals meet after Conn. school shooting

Commissioner-elect John Douglas wrote a nice argument for Emergency Action Plans in the other paper today. Board member Jeff Meadors has stated here that some are ignoring the plans in place. Thank you both for being open and honest but if you look at this public website for example you see that many schools are not reporting and possibly not doing drills required by state. If they are not reported how do we know if they took place. For example Alcovy High School has failed to do 21 required state fire drills in the last 3 years. Veterans reports none in 3 years but Oak Hill has done 100% of them so I think the data is accurate. What does NCSS have to say for schools like Alcovy that are failing to follow the law? This county is outrageous. As if the NSP workman's liens on those houses and the alleged misappropriation of federal funds is not enough. Add the destructive school system and the constant crime in this town to the mismanagement of SPLOST here. I will VOTE NO ON EDUCATION SPLOST and all other SPLOSTS from here on out and will ask every single resident I see to do the same. We have got to get school system M & O and bond under control. Our millage is maxed out and the garbage spewing from these government morons is not being bought by me. NO MORE MONEY TO THIS GOVERNMENT. And that means no more money, BOC, to the Newton Chamber as well promising things and delivering IHOPS and Waffle Houses.

Project Dove just flew away. I bet Alcovy High did not help. If Baxter or Dove types think living in east newton routes them to Alcovy they will move elsewhere.

Project Dove just flew away. Hunter what happened? Business won't come to schools where principals will sue them.

Vote Corley. Ignore the covington news trash rag. LaQuanda Carpenter leaves Alcovy on 11/9 so pray that teachers can have a break.

Can the board of commissioners please respond to the presentment published in the paper from the grand jury? Why are mechanics liens on the NSP homes and why did Morgan get a lawyer so fast she did not need to unless there is something to hide. Why have there been no reports on the minutes of NSP project and they were the only ones over it on the BOC. Can the paper investigate what they have to say on the request for the new jury to investigate NSP?
