I hope the unemployment rate continues to improve. There's plenty of jobs out there, people may have to settle and reevaluate their finances but the jobs are there.
There's PLENTY of jobs out there, you just have to look and think outside the metaphorical box & possible settle for something you might not want to do. The issue is these available jobs don't pay enough to cover what ones' bills were prior to losing their job and finding another job. Thus, the need for food assistance.
How do you know these people did not work their entire lives and planned based on what they were making? Not everything is as black and white as you may want it to be. All 3 people in my house work, we barely make enough to cover our basic bills, a fair working wage would be the answer, not to starve the hungry. Have you ever sat down and spoke to someone about how little people actually get for food assistance? I would like to know if we faced 1 more hard time, we could get help if needed. These "things" that people mention that welfare recipients own, how do you know they don't come from Goodwill or are gifted to them? Are they supposed to say no, I'm on welfare don't give me a free shirt, tat or purse??
If you don't want to be around smoke than don't go in a public place where it'll be there. A few moments of walking by someone that is smoking is not going to kill you... I'm a smoker, if I see someone walking by that isn't smoking, I don't blow my smoke on them, I move to where it won't bother them. If you are that sick to where you can't be around it than stay home. The world is a tough place not meant for pansies.
Does this include all the 18 year-olds that had sex with their 16 year old girlfriends and are now deemed a pervert or is this the kiddy pervs? just wondering...
Why is everyone arguing over the where abouts of the father? Do you really think the parents need to see this. She was 12, not 2. It's no one but the families and the authorities business as to what she was doing out... I am praying for the family and their loss; and for the driver of the car.
The man was just leading his family not FORCING her or ABUSING her. My husband probably wouldve done the same unless I insisted on staying.... Her choice of using the word "made" was more likely "encouraged."
I have been to the gas station at the corner of Emory/Hwy 81/Hwy 278 and there's a blonde haired lady that has been run off from there and other businesses for begging. She cries and tries to use sympathy, blah blah blah. It's annoying bug off~Get a job like the rest of us do. The economy is picking up, there ARE jobs out there!!! If you can't find one, use the brain God gave you and start your own business!! I have the upmost respect for our city council, I know a few of them quite well. It's not good for a business to have some1 standing out there begging that we the community have to keep running off!!!
