Frustrated 9 months, 3 weeks ago on Newton school board passes final budget; members still undecided about Ombudsman transportation

It just amazes me that some of the board members dont know the policies that have already been put in place. If the Ombudsman transportation is to continue then enforce teh poilices already in place. If students cause a problem on the bus kick them off, simple as that. It sounds like a lot of money is being spent on a few trouble makers.

Frustrated 9 months, 3 weeks ago on BOC to hold public hearing on budget

My income hasnt increased so I have to live within my budget and cut corners where I can. When prices and utilities increase I have to adjust. Home valuations have gone down, I understand that. But when I lose money on my home and the BOC want to increase my taxes so THEY can keep spending as usual, I have a problem. Like Mr Taylor said, we cant go out and grab money to make ends meet so why should the BOC?

Frustrated 10 months ago on Attorney: No conflict with Nelson Heights

The center is underused according to Henderson but he wants more money to run it? Now is it just me or does this not make sense to anyone else?

Darn, is it re-election time already? Seems like the only time we see many of our Congress people is aroun delection time.

Frustrated 10 months, 2 weeks ago on County Manager: RIF could be required if millage maintained

Sounds like Henderson is picking up where Ewing left off. All he is concerned about is getting money for his pet projects and all the rest of the citizens be damned. I can just bet if he doesnt get his way he will again try to take action by filing complaints like he did before to force the BOC to do what he wants.

I really hope none of that Washington train of thought rubs off on Mr Mitcham. If it does his farm is doomed.

Frustrated 10 months, 3 weeks ago on WASA raising water, sewer rates

I really wouldnt have a prolbem with this if they ACTUALLY READ my meter every month. But when my water use is estimated more months out of the year than not sounds like they could save money by cutting back on the number of meter readers. Dont want my money going to pay someone from just riding around in a truck all day.
