Covingtonian 3 months, 3 weeks ago on Students taken to hospitals after bus accident

Whenever an incident happens you begin to hear things and I heard from a former bus driver that after NCSS laid off some of their drivers that the ones left to transport students are now under time restraints to have the students at designated schools at designated times. this may be the reason for a driver rushing through your neighborhoods or speeding up to make a yellow traffic light. When kids hold a bus up for any reason whether boarding late or taking their time to get off the bus it can cost precious minutes when it happens after several stops. I would like to hear from a current driver as to this time limit constraint whether it is true or not? by the way I am not defending dangerous driving or speeding but I am not ready to through the drivers under the proverbial bus without hearing their sides of the story.

covington300, Will is an "uncle tom" another term for blacks that seek white's approval by seeking their approval by conforming to their views. This type of black person was around during slavery times to keep the other negroes in line and would run and tell on the others to gain favor with "the master".It has been noted that anytime Will post concerning other blacks he has negative things to say and has shown a great disdain for the president of this country. People of all colors are doing vile things but will seems to take delight inhighlighting the misdeeds of the criminals of color. I usually choose to just ignore him.

Why are you still posting under multiple names? And here you go again with your "several documents" line that never seems to materialize. Take your meds just read the paper and stop trying to comment PLEASE. I for one will make it my duty to examine closely anything you publish in the future because you have proved in the past that you cannot be trusted.

Covingtonian 5 months, 1 week ago on Covington Police: Shooting at Housing Authority

I found it more than a little interesting that neither the victim nor the perp were residents of the housing authority. Some would like to believe just because the incident happened in the area that this should have been expected i.e. "water is wet". If you watch the nightly news you will see that violence can and does strike in any neighborhood and across all economic boundaries.

Okay, maybe I missed something here. How is John's comment unnecessary, moronic and why should he be ashamed?

Talk about biting the hand that feeds you. Even if money was misappropriated (which could not be substantiated) the charge of structual deficiencies would have been almost impossible to cover up to trained inspectors. It is unfortunate that someone would make baseless accusations to besmirch somebody else good name. I do believe that for the good of the shelter as well as for it to be able to survive that Ms.Lett allow someone better qualified to take over the day to day operations. She has done this and surrounding communities a valuable service but this should continue to be about assisting the needy and is bigger than any one person. The bible tells us that the poor will always be with us.

Covingtonian 5 months, 2 weeks ago on Judicial Center expansion will exceed SPLOST revenues

This entire plan needs to be carefully looked at from finances to the proposed expansion. Whether or not it is feasible to have court in shifts, i doubt it. I do know that the current judicial center is to small, quite possibly this is from a lack or thorough planning.from the outset. The courtrooms themselves or to small, sometimes there are so many defendants that family, supporters or just observers have to wait outside the courtroom until the person they came to court for is called before the judge. I personally have never attended court proceedings anywhere else in state or out of state where this was the case including Fulton County. With crime increasing there will be a need for more room. Maybe we need to seek input from others, be it citizens, contractors, law enforcement and elected officials for ideas on funding and expanding the facility.

My comments concerning some of the posts, First if anyone turns away help because of non union affiliation they are a fool in my humble opinion. Second, using turn signals in the roundabout is great but you have those who "don't trust that the driver is really going to turn" so they stop and wait anyway. My final thought has to do with Shannon Black who is posting under the name Satan69 among others. Does she have any family members in this area that can or will help this lady of many identities who has allowed the NCSS and specifically Alcovy High school to consume her?

Sounds like the vehicle was attempting a left from Porterdal onto Turner Lake rather than the reported right in the story but who expect storuies to be completely accurate these days. Great job C.P.D. These varmints should be put away for a long time.
