You know funny thing. This is BS bigtime. I was told by someone running for office that their own community is fed up with the Carpneters. Their own community if you get me? They are making their own community look bad and no one understands just make a change and do what should be done get the guy out of human resources totally.
These comments about LaQuanda Brown Carpenter aka Quan are all true. Why do we have a school board that acts this way. I hope both incumbents LOSE BAD in the primary (Turner) and in the fall election (Johnson).
1. Does the school system have a policy on higher leadership positions dating, marrying, and if not why not? What are there plans to keep this from happening again? 2. Is it true that the former principal of Newton High and the current dep supt of Operations owned a business together Lead Learners LLC while one oversaw HR for the other? Does this represent a conflict of interest? 3. Tips were sent to the superintendent about the topics of alcohol in the news at Alcovy. Has there been a follow up investigation on any of the public concerns and have any tips been sent in that have had follow up and what results if any can you share to help us improve the schools we pay for? 4. Does the board have plans to institute a nepotism policy? 5. Will the board work with local Senate and House legislators to create a bill to prevent the type of HR conflicts of interest in school systems statewide? 6. How many teachers and staff have left Alcovy High since 2009 and what is the plan for filling the "brain drain"? 7. Have club sponsors at Alcovy High been interviewed and have results led to any revelations about claims? 8. When teachers and other employees have advised the board of what they have known to be true per conflicts of interest in hiring why has the board not acted on these concerns? 9. What plans does the school system have to raise graduation rates and achievement levels at Alcovy High, a school we are all paying for? 10. Why has the school system allowed the plaintiff's attorney to use school grounds and school time to pursue her lawsuit and why has the plaintiff used school time to discuss her lawsuit with the other news outlet?
Ah so a pattern emerges. She seeks to find who says what rather than fix what they say which is verified online, in papers, in police records about the safety at her high school. So Judget this is not who I thought it was so let's take her out of this but I think it is this person so can we add him and she says things that sound like a blog or walk like a blog or talk like a blog so can I add these 2 and take out 3 more and release this one and make a phone call to that one? Can I sue this one too? Can we add new names to the suit and can I add more comments since I made the public mad? Can I just have all the power to do whatever I want and jerk around the schools and the court cause you know I'm trying really hard to cover my nepotism and my hubby's business with Dr. Sams while he supervised his and my budget as principals. Please?
i don't understand Mr. Matthews letter in the paper? It is so easy. Why not just give someone else Human Resources so teachers won't have to go to the internet to complain. The system has created the lawsuit situation itself by putting Alcovy employees in such a bad position. The lawsuit is stupid but if there even is one it should be a class action lawsuit against the system by Alcovy employees for harassment and hostile work environment.

He promoted himself when Robertson left but his buddy in districts 2 and 4 could not follow the same precdent with Mrs. Fuhrey. Sounds like an agenda. We need new blood in 2 and 4.
