Newton High School teacher medically cleared of Ebola and will return to school Monday October 31, 2014
Oh noes! Not the liberals! Honestly, I love how its always the liberals fault with your ilk. Show me a liberal that controls anything in this county and I'll show you a multi-colored unicorn that poops rainbows. No, just like on a national level, neo-conservative philosophies are what is doing this county in.
Well I am shocked, shocked I tell you, that the for-profit company that was hired to divert money to this charter school away from public schools and supposedly show us all how you are supposed to run a school absconded with the money ("Project Adventure was the management company for Challenge Charter Academy and as of the 2010-11 school year, the company is no longer affiliated with Challenge Charter Academy. As part of Project Adventure's departure, the academy was informed that our state insurance was not paid by the management company,")
Also, since you seem to have a hard time with putting two and two together, this school was approved prior to 2008. The only current member of the board who was on it at that time is Almond Turner. You need to find some other reason to spew your hatred for certain members of the BOE at.
The more I hear from you, the more I'm convinced that if you would just leave our county would be a lot better off.
Do you honestly think for one second that the sheriff doesn't want to have more people patrolling the western side of the county?? Really? Because if that is what you honestly believe, you are a fool and I have a bridge I'd like to sell you. You don't want to pay anymore in taxes. Well boo hoo! That's where the money comes from to pay the deputies. You get what you pay for and since the Teaklan that was at this forum Monday night doesn't want to pay for anything, you get nothing!
I believe the last time John Douglas told us that something wasn't broken and didn't need to be fixed, he had to re-vote to fix his mistake. Also, why the fixation on Eastside High School? It's at the very bottom of the priority list for this SPLOST. I guess he just doesn't want anyone touching the supposed "white" high school.
I believe it was stated at the beginning of the forum that all members of the school board were invited. Only 3 showed up to answer the questions of the public. Speaks volumes to me of the two that didn't show.
You don't seem to understand that if you vote this E-SPLOST down, you're not punishing the board, you're only punishing the students of this county and then yourself because you can surely bet that your taxes will take a large hike to cover the shortfall that continues because of a lack of state and national funding.
Of course we know who is running this county - Mort Ewing. Anyone who thinks otherwise is only fooling themselves.
Grow up. You fools are still blaming Clinton for crap. Quite frankly, if you want to go down this road, the overwhelming majority of the problems of this country today, especially the financial ones, are a direct result of the actions of the Bush Administration.
I don't live in District 2 and I have seen the announcements in the papers, articles about them and ads on the Covington cable channel. I only remember them because I remember thinking that I wish my commissioner would do something like that on the eastern side, but they've shown over and over again on this side of the county that they don't really care about our opinions.
