And your premise is still off because you are basing your entire argument on the notion that everyone is a Christian. Would you be willing to let the students openly worship Allah? What about Buddha? You, and the close-minded knee-jerk reacting yokels of this town, are advocating the teaching of religion in the schools and I don't pay taxes for that! If people want their kids taught religion in school, then send them to a private religious school or home school them. Don't use my tax money for it. This entire incident was blown completely out of proportion by people who have never even read the work, seen the play or had even an inkling that it was a display of student art about a piece of literature. Heavens forbid we have children that are pushed out of their comfort zones and have their minds expanded!
The reason your point is asininely wrong is that the "God is Dead" is from a work of literature, something that our students are in desperate need of these days judging by their woeful inability to conduct even a basic conversation. Your idea of posters advocating for a God of a religion that not everyone in this county believes in violates the Separation Clause of the US Constitution. Don't you believe in the Constitution?
I'm willing to bet you haven't read the book or seen the movie so I'm reminded of the old adage - better to remain silent and be thought of as a fool than to open your mouth (or in this instance, type words onto a screen) and remove all doubt. Get over yourself. It's a fascinating tale of a man who witnessed history in the making.
That's twice in one year that you've agreed with me. At this rate, I'll have you voting for Hillary in 2016!
So bidding has already taken place on this but because their buddies didn't put in the low bid, it gets tabled? It's not exactly like Loganville is on the other side of the country! It must be nice to have friends on the commission that can hold things up until certain people get their way.
Do any of you griping about the commissioner's pay raise even read the articles about it? This was decided in 2001 when none of the current commissioners, with the exception of JC Henderson, were serving and you can bet your butt that ol' JC won't give up his raise. Schulz and Sims have already said that they don't want it and will give it back and Maddox has said he would give his to charity. If you're gonna get mad, at least be mad for the right reasons and at the right people: Chairman Aaron Varner, Commissioners Mort Ewing, Ronnie Dimsdale, Ester Fleming, J.C. Henderson, Billy Strickland.
You might want to rethink this. The 2011 SPLOST that passed was the product of Mort Ewing, JC Henderson and Tim Fleming. Nancy Schulz presented a different SPLOST that would have had a lot more debt reduction and didn't have unnecessary pork (i.e. Mort's Ag Palace).
I do hope you realize that most people who are on public assistance in the U.S., and specifically in Georgia, are white people. President Obama didn't capture much of the white vote in GA so your argument that the "freeloaders in our society are member of or vote democrat" is false.
What his statement really means is that internal polling is showing that he can't win and he's not raising any money so he's jumping ship now.
As soon as you tell something true, then I'll be able to pass judgement on it. This little racist rant really takes the cake but it shows just what kind of man you really are.
