YACS Cross Country Boys Team finishes 2nd in Dominion’s Dash

YACS Boys Cross Country team finished second overall in their recent Cross Country Meet at the Dominion Dash. They also had two Varsity boys finish with their personal best times with Seth Nicol placing 1st at 18 minutes flat in the Dominion Dash 5K. Also, Paul Turner finished 4th overall with a 19 minute flat finish.

Post 32 ends season with a pair of wins

The Post 32 Athletics finished their regular season American Legion schedule this week with victories over Peachtree City Post 50 and Douglasville Post 145 to improve their record to 15-2 on the year.

Sunbelt Builders honored for safety

Sunbelt Builders Inc. recently accepted a check from AgriTrust of Georgia for winning the First Quarter Safety Initiative. Shown, from left, are Steve Kapp, Walt Savage, Kim Glanton and Sam Hay. The Quarterly Safety Initiative is a program conducted by AgriTrust, a self-insured workers’ compensation fund that services agribusinesses in the state of Georgia, to encourage safety training by its fund members. Winners receive a $2,000 prize if they have had no lost time claims during the quarter. Sunbelt Builders, founded in 1982 by Sam B. Hay Jr., offers design/build services, specializing in agricultural projects.
