Students from the culinary arts program at the Newton College and Career Academy will help prepare an all-you-can-eat pancakes-and-sausage breakfast as the Kiwanis Club of Covington holds its 3rd Annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, March 21, at Newton High School from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, and the festivities include a pancake-eating contest and the ReImagine Newton 5K Run and One-Mile Run.

Cherry Blossom Festival signals beginning of spring

With spring just around the corner, it’s time once again for the Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival, an event which draws thousands of people who partake of crafts, food and entertainment at the Georgia International Horse Park. This is the 34th year for the festival, scheduled for March 21 and 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
