Seniors at Olivia Haydel Senior Center packaged 688 shelf-stable meals Monday to deliver to home-bound clients in case funding for the Meals on Wheels program ceases due to the federal government shutdown. The Site Council raised funds for the project. If funding is not impacted by the shutdown, the meals will still be distributed as part of the severe weather preparation program, said Susan Morgan, senior services division manager.
