Wednesday was a good day for ducks as this fellow proves. He looks very purposeful as he crosses Kirkland Road and is perhaps a bit surprised that the water seems to be everywhere. Weather forecasters say much cooler temperatures will follow the rain and there might even be a snow flurry or two today, but no accumulation is expected. - Staff photo by Sue Ann Kuhn Smith
