Beverly Hardegree gets a jump start on her Christmas gift-making in ceramics class at Newton County Senior Center. “My granddaughters tell me that things I make can never be replaced. Other things I buy can,” she said. While students usually take their work home, teacher Linda Rogers and volunteers create pieces to sell at the Senior Center. Proceeds are used to purchase supplies for the class. (Staff Photos: Crystal Tatum)
