COVINGTON — Former Alcovy softball player Morgan Mobley will have a few more years on the diamond after recently signing with Brewton Parker College in Mt. Veronon. Mobley, a 2013 graduate, had not signed anywhere following graduation but her dream to play at the next level continued. She was scouted and recruited by former player and Brewton Parker graduate Amber May. Within three days of them talking, Mobley went to the college and met with head coach James Bryant. Besides being a four-year starter at third base, Mobley was also a member of the Lady Tigers tennis team playing varsity her junior and senior year. Mobley also played travel ball for the Georgia Prowlers under head coach Brian Beauchamp for the past eight years. She started playing softball since she was 4-years-old with the Rockdale Girls Softball Association. Pictured with Mobley for the signing are her parents, Jeff and Michelle Mobley.
