Lily, a German Shepherd-Lab mix, was abandoned at an empty house. She must have waited for her family to return, but they never did. She’s 5 months old and will probably weigh in at about 50 to 60 pounds as an adult. She’s looking for a family who will treat her the way she should be treated and make up for the trauma she’s suffered. She can be rescued and adopted at Rockdale County Animal Care and Control Shelter at 1506 Rockbridge Road in Conyers. At the Rockdale shelter adoption fees for dogs are $30 and $20 for cats. Out of county adoptions cost slightly more. Spaying or neutering is required for adoption. The shelter is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. The phone number is 770-278-8403.
