Waters will attend the University of Richmond in Virginia in the fall, while Greer is enrolling at the University of Georgia. Both have taken Latin throughout high school.

Although Eastside High School seniors Kim Waters and Melissa Greer have been competing for the top student spot since sixth grade, it's been a friendly competition.
