Most people would be hard pressed to remember who was in their first grade class, much less be friends with them 50 years later.But, that's exactly what a group of local women who were classmates in the 1960s have achieved.They call themselves The Palmer-Stone Girls -- 13 friends (give or take few) who attended Palmer-Stone Elementary School from first grade through eighth grade.
