Staff Photo: Michelle Floyd The Eastside Eagles were ready for the first football game of the season on Friday at Homer Sharp Stadium. In the end, the Eagles defeated the Alcovy Tigers 38-15. The Eagles will take on the Newton Rams beginning at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Sharp Stadium. Newton is the home team.
