Covington resident Taylor Boyd, a second-grader at Piedmont Academy, was awarded a $5,529 contribution for his college savings from the Path2College 529 Plan in partnership with the Georgia Public Library Service for being the winner of the 2011 Destination College Savings Sweepstakes. Boyd attended a special program in his honor at the Newton County Library, where his family and classmates joined in the celebration.
