Check out the new library
Special IllustrationThis is a rendering of what the library will look like once completed. The $6 million building will be 19,200 square feet and will be the Newton County government's first LEED registered facility. LEED certified projects cost less to operate and maintain and are energy and water efficient. The building will include a number of features designed to save on consumption, including using recycled rainwater to flush toilets and water outdoor landscaping; raised floors with cooling from below, requiring less air volume; recycled building materials; and low-flow water fixtures and waterless systems in the restrooms.
