COVINGTON -- Wintry weather headed toward North Georgia hasn't forced the closing of Newton County schools yet. The Newton County School System announced late this morning that schools would remain open as scheduled today.
Newton County schools will be closed today
The Newton County School System will be closed today due to inclement weather, according to a message on the NCSS Web site. Twelve-month employees are instructed to report. See www.newtoncountyschools.org for more information.
