When Joan Brown took ownership of her mother's College Avenue home in Olde Town Conyers two years ago and made plans to renovate it, the job became a bit more extensive than she had anticipated. The then 57-year-old house suffered from termite damage so extensive that the Browns rebuilt the structure, leaving only the original brick foundation and chimney.
