Newton school board approves teacher furlough days
During its monthly work session Tuesday, the board unanimously approved a recommendation by Newton County School System Superintendent Gary Mathews for a calendar with 178 student days and 184 teacher days.
Newton graduation locations to be determined by March
Officials with the Newton County School System still are trying to figure out where graduations will be held in May.
