Saturday the spirit of giving will flourish in Covington with a flurry of charitable activities designed to give families in need some holiday cheer: the Angel Tree Bike and Car Show in The Square, the Kiwanis Club of Covington’s food distribution at the old Walmart building in Martin’s Crossing on U.S. Highway 278 and the Newton County Sheriff’s 16th Annual Toy Ride to raise funds for Angel Tree, beginning at the Kmart shopping center at the corner of U.S. Highway 278 and Turner Lake Road.
