Atlanta man arrested in online child porn sting

CONYERS — Conyers police arrested an Atlanta man on child pornography charges as a result of an online sting operation where he came to Conyers believing he was meeting with a young teenage girl.

Bryan Jack Knight, 30, was arrested Tuesday at the Conyers Ride Share by detectives in Conyers Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division.

According to the Conyers Police Department, Knight contacted Detective Sgt. Kristen Moore on a social media website and began communicating with what he believed to be a 14-year-old girl.

“Communications took place for two months when Knight decided to ride the Xpress Bus from Atlanta to the Conyers Ride Share and pick up ‘the 14-year-old,’ the CPD stated in a press release. “Knight was instead met by Conyers police officers and subsequently charged with child exploitation and child pornography.”

Sgt. Moore is trained by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and serves as an agent on the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force with the GBI, the CPD stated.
