One less tree stands on the Square as Arbor Equity, the company that manages the Square’s trees, removes a pecan tree Wednesday due to dead branches falling on cars. Covington Deputy City Manager Billy Bouchillon said the tree already had some cable and bracing to sustain it, but it needed to be cut down because of the hazard of falling limbs.
