Porterdale recognized as FireWise community

The city of Porterdale was presented with a plaque for recognition and certification as a Firewise Community by Wildfire Prevention Specialist Beryl Budd with the Georgia Forestry Commission. Budd gave a presentation to the City Council, mayor, city manager, Downtown director and public attendees, announcing that Porterdale was also recognized as a Tree City USA community.
