Georgia native Dr. Shyronda Pleasant recently opened Pleasant Peds Care of Conyers, a pediatric office located at 1415 Milstead Road in Conyers, just behind Rockdale Medical Center.

Pleasant is a board certified pediatrician who has been practicing pediatric medicine for 14 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Clark Atlanta University, where she graduated cum laude and was a Howard Hughes Scholar.

She earned her medical doctorate from Creighton University and during her training and residency was a National Health Service Corp Scholar.

She has provided general pediatric and pediatric urgent care in Dalton, Conyers, Covington, Decatur, Newton and Snellville, including at Conyers Pediatric and Decatur Pediatric Group, where she served as medical director.

Pleasant and her team of senior pediatric veterans, including Sonya Brown, practice manager, and Brandee Bonds, medical assistant, have more than 35 years of combined pediatric experience. Brown is a native of Covington and Bonds is relocating from Lithonia to Conyers.

“My goal is to provide quality and top notch care in a compassionate manner,” said Pleasant on her website, www.pleasantpedscare.com. “When you walk across the threshold of Pleasant Peds Care of Conyers, you will immediately know that you have found a knowledgeable, caring medical professional who listens and treats the whole child with a gentle touch.”

Pleasant stays current on children’s medical health issues by attending continuing education courses in pediatric medicine, pediatric infectious disease, and pediatric emergency medicine.

“I am a pediatrician that always seeks to answer questions and concerns that may arise. I pride myself on not giving up until a diagnosis is discovered,” according to Pleasant on her practice website.
