Georgia Artist with Disabilities exhibit hangs at Nancy Guinn Library until March 22

Conyers resident Missy Rascoe stands by her acrylic painting, “Passion Flower Profusion,” which was awarded the Distinguished Merit honor in the Georgia Artists with Disabilities exhibit. The exhibit features 50 works of art and is displayed at the Nancy Guinn Memorial Library, 864 Green St. in Conyers, through March 22 as part of a statewide tour. Paintings, photographs, clay pottery, mosaics, textiles and other works of art are hanging in the library’s bottom floor meeting room and displayed in a case on the main floor. The exhibit is designed as an avenue through which artists with disabilities can highlight their artistic talents. The Pilot Club of Conyers will host an exhibit reception, open to the public, at the library on March 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. (Staff Photo: Karen Rohr)
