“Message to the developers dying to bring the sprawl and congestion of west Newton over here to east Newton: We like the open spaces, lack of crime and fresh air. You keep saying to bring the 2050 Plan to a vote. Well, bring it on developers, you will lose because there are more people here now that love the rural nature of this part of the county than there are people wanting to sell us down the river to developers. Get the dollar signs out of your eyes and enjoy the great quality of life we have here.”

——

“The last thing I need is Hunter Hall whining in this paper about the 2050 Plan. He does not even live in the district most impacted by the large land lot issue. Go away and ring a bell.”

——

“I love the 2050 plan. It keeps the filth relegated to one side of the county far from me.”

——

“I am checking in to ask Hunter Hall to stop writing commentary. He was anti-free speech in 2012 and can’t have it both ways. Mr. Hall, we are asking you to stop writing.”

——

“Crime in Newton is at an all-time high. Why? Maybe we elected the wrong sheriff.”

——

“I want to know what Mr Almond Turner has ever really done to help our schools or police department, or is he just an empty suit? Both crime and schools are bad, and he runs both.”

——

“More teachers leave NCSS breaking contracts. Go figure. Leadership is the No. 1 reason — not pay!”
