Man sought in brother's stabbing

CONYERS — The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a 48-year-old man who allegedly stabbed his younger brother twice in the side.

According to a report by the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office, Mark Anthony Joyner, of a Brandy Woods Drive address, stabbed his 46-year-old brother, who lives at the same address, after the younger sibling threatened to “kill everyone in this house.”

The victim reportedly made the threat after his mother, who also lives at the same address, asked him to finish repairing the brakes on her vehicle.

The suspect, who was in the kitchen of the home, allegedly picked up a knife and started chasing the younger brother. According to the mother, the brothers ran out to the garage where they fought and then came back into the house.

Once back inside the house, the victim reportedly yelled that he had been stabbed twice in the side.

When deputies arrived they found the victim standing in the dining room holding a towel to his side. A puddle of blood was in the front doorway area with multiple blood trails leading from it. A knife was nearby.

The victim was treated at the scene by National EMS and transported by ambulance to an Atlanta area hospital.

The suspect had fled by the time officers arrived.
