P.R.I.D.E driving class set for Feb. 4

CONYERS — The Georgia Traffic Injury Prevention Institute at the University of Georgia offers a class to help parents in Rockdale County prepare 14-, 15- and 16-year-olds how to drive.

The Parents Reducing Injuries and Driver Error (P.R.I.D.E) two-hour seminar will take place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4 in Conyers.

The Georgia Teens Ride with P.R.I.D.E. classes will complement the local driver education programs to help parents and guardians become more aware of their own driving behaviors; teach parents and guardians how to help their teens become safe drivers; help parents, guardians and teens learn what they need to do during the supervised practice driving time; and alter attitudes and driving behaviors of novice teen drivers.

A teen and at least one parent or guardian must register to attend. There is no cost to attend the class. Call the GTIPI office at 678-413-4281 or email ashleyph@uga.edu to request a registration form.
