Mental health practice opens in Covington

Dr. Tina Daniel-Reasey recently announced the grand opening of her new practice, Dr. Tina Daniel-Reasey Counseling Services, at 1001 B Emory St. in Oxford, to serve the mental health needs of Newton, Rockdale and Walton County.

Daniel-Reasey has multiple years of experience and many may recognize her name through her role as school counselor, where she has served as an elementary, middle and high school counselor for the past 15 years. She has also worked in the area of foster care and adoptions through the Department of Family and Children Services and other private agencies.

In a press release, Daniel-Reasey said she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her private practice in assisting children, adolescents, and families in making positive life changes.

Daniel-Reasey specializes in working with issues affecting life adjustments such as anxiety, depression, attention deficit hyperactive disorder, academic difficulties, adoption, infertility, foster care, abuse or trauma, divorce and family adjustments.

The practice will provide individual, couple, family and group counseling. Group counseling will be available for adults and children and will be held on Thursday evenings.

A native Newton County resident, Daniel-Reasey completed a doctorate degree in counseling psychology from Argosy University. She holds a specialist degree in education from the University of West Georgia, and a master’s degree in education and a bachelor’s degree in social work from Georgia State University. She has also taught graduate level courses as an adjunct professor, and presented as a guest speaker at various conferences.
