“If part-time BOE member and full-time Ga. Mediocre College Dual Enrollment Champion Jeff Meadors drops a comment or two in the Citizen Poll and no one is there to read it, does it really make a sound?”

“I would like to express my concerns on the disgusting Newton County Turner Lake complex! I recently visited a wedding reception. As I approached the loading area at the main entrance I noticed several teenagers sitting and standing on the benches smoking cigarettes. Clearly they could not read due to the fact there where two … signs that read ‘No Smoking!’ After walking through a cloud of smoke to enter the building, it smelled as a dirty locker room. There were three garbage cans that were overflowing with pizza boxes and sports drinks. As I approached the teenager at the desk, she was very short worded. Then several teenagers began talking very loudly at the end of the hallway saying sexual gestures to each other. I was very disgusted with the bathrooms. There was toilet paper hanging out of the toilets, there were paper towels overflowing from the trash cans and the counter tops where soaked with both towel machines empty. I noticed what appeared to be employees watching a game on a flat screen in a conference room. As a taxpayer I write to inform brides and their families. You might want to visit this center during pre times of your event just so you will be prepared. Also, the speakers appeared to be busted in the banquet hall. Ask for a sound check! Also ask will there be any activities going on the grounds because you will be sharing bathrooms and entrances, etc.”

“Sounds like the Newton school system needs a new attorney and one that knows the law on open meetings. Wonder what the CCRPI scores will look like when they come out. We know they cannot handle dropout data and still have not explained the scoop on that. Now we see they cannot even do fire drills. Maybe Hunter Hall needs to tell the new juke joints about this as a marketing tool. … ”

“The Newton BOE chooses a new board chair and vice chair on Jan. 14 at 7 p.m. Will they lock white males out again? Stay tuned. They need tough leadership who knows rules of order. Who will they choose in the sinking system?”

——

“Now that David Hudson set elected officials straight I look forward to the public learning when specific BOE members request data from student services based on race. I know this happens because I know the people who prepare the dumb reports. Race is huge at the Newton BOE.”

“Apparently Newton is too chicken to wrestle Alcovy. Great job winning on a technicality! Your program cannot count this a true win! Great job not supporting your county. To the transportation department: I hope someone’s head roles for not getting a bus to them! They had a chance for state and now you took that away!”

“So a school board member obsessed with this phone poll wants lie detector tests? OK, let’s do that. Let’s give him a lie detector test to find out if it is true or not that NCSS has the worst graduation rates of most Georgia systems. Let’s give him a lie detector test to see if our kids who get HOPE are in the low percentages. Let’s test him to see if anything in the Citizen Poll is valid and needs to be worked on. I am not impressed by the school board either who lets this type of thing go on year after year. Does the chairman have no guts to shut people like this up? … ”

“It is embarrassing to have Eddie Johnson on a board of education. Thoroughly embarrassing and damaging to our community.”
