Tim Hunter, a collector of all things Elvis, shows off a one-of-a-kind doll that was fashioned of Elvis Presley as a 3-year-old boy. Hunter is opening up his approximately 10,000-piece collection to the public in honor of Elvis’ 79th birthday today. Hunter has been acquiring anything he could of “The King of Rock and Roll” for 25 years, but he says it is time to downsize his collection. Elvis fans are welcome to stroll through Lingering Memories, where the Elvis “shrine” is located, for the next couple of weeks while Hunter has unlocked many delicate items from his vault. Hunter has been offered many things for trade for his worldwide collection, money included, and has never accepted any offers, but his collection is now for sale. Lingering Memories is located at 1403 Old Covington Highway in Conyers and is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Staff Photos: Julie Wells)
