Troops receive cards from Operation Valentine

Senior Airman David Leifels of Covington and fellow troops hold up a few of the hand-made Valentine’s Day cards from area students in Newton, Gwinnett, Henry and Walton counties. The 600 cards collected were sent by J.C. Harwell and Son funeral home, which participated in Operation Valentine, a program that encourages citizens to send love to those serving overseas.
