Zachariah Hess

Army National Guard Pvt. Zachariah J. Hess has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning in Columbus. During the nine weeks of training, the soldier received instruction in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, core values and traditions.

Additional training included development of basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics, and experiencing use of various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewman.

Hess is the son of Jean Hess of Conyers.

Dejuan Laury

Air Force Airman Dejuan A. Laury graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Laury is the son of Yolanda Laury of Covington, and Kevin Laury of Laguna Hills, Calif. He is a 2009 graduate of Newton High School.

William Booker

Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class William Booker has graduated from the U.S. Navy’s Elnlisted Nuclear Power School at Naval Nuclear Power Training Command in Goose Creek, S.C. Nuclear Power School is a rigorous six-month course that trains officer and enlisted students in the science and engineering fundamental to the design, operation, and maintenance of naval nuclear propulsion plants.

Graduates next undergo additional instruction at a prototype training unit before serving as an electronics technician, machinist’s mate, or electrician’s mate aboard a nuclear-powered submarine or surface warfare ship.

Booker is the son of Charlotte Booker of Conyers. He is a 2012 graduate of Salem High School.

Caddis Fulford

Air Force Airman Caddis A. Fulford graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Fulford is the son of Laurel Fulford of Covington. He is a 2006 graduate of Newton High School. He is a 2012 graduate of Georgia Perimeter College in Covington, where he earned an associate degree.

Antwan Campbell

Air Force Reserve Airman Antwan M. Campbell graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Campbell is the son of William Campbell of Marrietta. He is a 2008 graduate of Rockdale County High School.

Dustin Lindsay

Air Force Airman Dustin D. Lindsay graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Lindsay is the son of Rhonda Foley of Covington, and nephew of Scott Clausen of Zimmerman, Minn. He is a 2011 graduate of Alcovy High School.
