In a statement by the Georgia High School Association, the GHSA has been monitoring the weather conditions and there remains the possibility of more ice and snow in many parts of the state. We agree with the school systems that the safety of students, athletes and their supporters must be a major consideration when making decisions and support them in their efforts.

The GHSA State Wrestling Championship Tournament scheduled for the Gwinnett Arena has been postponed until the weekend of February 21 and 22. In order to allow time for these athletes to properly prepare for the most important tournament of the season and because the Gwinnett Arena is not available due to previous commitments, the GHSA is exploring several options for alternate host sites. Please check the GHSA website regularly for updates.
