Miriam Hall

Air Force Reserve Airman Miriam K. Hall graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Hall is the daughter of Miriam and David Hall of Oxford. She is a 2008 graduate of Loganville High School.

Andrew Craver

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Craver is the son of Kathy and Stephen Craver of Covington. He is a 2012 graduate of Alpha Omega High School in Covington.

Salina Overton

Army Pvt. Salina P. Overton has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises. Overton is the stepdaughter of Lucille Overton of Conyers. She is a 2013 graduate of Heritage High School.

Carr is the daughter of Denise Carr of Conyers and niece of Alicia Carr of Jonesboro. She is a 2013 graduate of Salem High School.

Jacob Coffey

Army National Guard Pfc. Jacob M. Coffey has graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Waynesville, Mo. During the nine weeks of training, the soldier received instruction in drill and ceremony, weapons, rifle marksmanship qualification, bayonet combat, chemical warfare, field training and tactical exercises, marches, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, traditions, and core values. Coffey is the son of Ruth Coffey of Conyers. He is a 2011 graduate of Heritage High School. He is a 2013 graduate of Lanier Technical College, where he earned an associate’s degree.
