Minor bus accident reported at Alcovy High School

COVINGTON — Two school buses were involved in a minor wreck Monday at Alcovy High School.

At approximately 3:25 p.m., a school bus carrying 16 students accidentally rolled into the bus behind it after releasing its air brakes. The second bus had 38 students on board.

The Georgia State Patrol was called to the scene and reported there was no damage or injuries. No citations were issued.

The buses left the school around 4:45 p.m. and transported the students home, according to a note sent to school personnel by Principal Sandra Owens.
