CONYERS - Rockdale is 3-0 for the first time in five years. The Bulldogs defeated Drew 42-21 Friday to start 3-0 for the first time since the 2008 team won its first three games.
Rockdale, which didn’t get its first victory until week five has had no such trouble in 2013.
With the 42 points scored Friday, the Bulldogs’ highest scoring output since a 41-18 victory over Banneker in the first round of the Class AAAA state playoffs, the Conyers school has out-scored its first three points by an average margin of more than 14 points.
Friday Rockdale avenged a shut out loss to Drew in 2012 and will try to avenge another shut out from a year ago when the upstart Bulldogs travel to Langston Hughes September 20.
