Kroger offers rewards program for charities

Kroger Plus Card customers throughout the Atlanta Division — which includes Georgia, South Carolina, Northern Alabama and Eastern Tennessee — can now contribute to charitable organizations of their choice with each in-store transaction.

On Sept. 1, Atlanta Division Kroger stores launched its Kroger Community Rewards program, a $750,000 fundraising initiative aimed at supporting schools and non-profits. Kroger Plus Card holders can enroll online at KrogerCommunityRewards.com to earn funds for their favorite charity. Every time an enrolled customer shops using a Kroger Plus Card, he helps a charity of choice raise money.

Local schools, churches and other nonprofit organizations apply and are approved by Kroger to be listed on KrogerCommunityRewards.com. Kroger customers can then visit the site, sign up with their Plus Cards and select a local organization they wish to support (limited to one charity per household).

Once enrolled, customers will earn rewards for their chosen organization every time they shop and use their Plus Cards.

All participants must re-enroll each year to continue earning rewards for their chosen organization.
