Locals graduate from GCSU

The following locals have graduated from Georgia College & State University.

Students from Conyers include: Anthony Bennett — bachelor of business administration degree in management; Bradley Hardin — Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics, Joseph Kemp — bachelor of business administration degree in management; Berinyuy Maimo — master of accountancy in accounting; Samantha McCalvin — Bachelor of Science degree in biology; Kierria Saulsbury — Bachelor of Arts degree in English; and Justin Stott — Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice.

Students from Mansfield include: Graylon Haynie — Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics; Kesley Thrift — Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood education; and Adam Yurevich — Bachelor of Science degree in health education.

VSU names locals to dean’s list

The following local students at Valdosta State University were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2013 semester: from Conyers, Kati Spohn, Emily Bradford, Erica Evans, Daniel Harrison, Jasmine Hawkins, Sarah Kirkpatrick, Michael McKerson, Lindsay McMullen, Christian Nabi, Thaian Nguyen, Starr Wade, Christopher Wade-Hale, Lisa Wiltsee and Jori Young; from Covington, Katherine Cagle, Paris Gibbons, Amanda Rembert, Kati Spohn, and Cody Phillips; and from Oxford, Alexandra Stewart.

In order to be named to the dean’s list, a student must earn at least a 3.5 grade-point average.
